For All Grade 1:
Fantasy Theatre Factory
Never Everglades Study Guide
Fantasy Theatre Factory weaves together multiple Fairy Tales to create this original Florida Eco-Comedy about protecting the environment. Our hero is a little bird named Dudley.Dudley is a Florida Roseate Spoonbill (yes, that’s a bird). His nemesis’ are The Three Little Pigs, who are destroying the Everglades to build their condo-'pig'iums! In this comedy, Dudley meets fairytale characters: Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Hansel and Gretel, and two of the Seven Dwarfs who have lost their homes in the Florida Everglades - thanks to the destructive pigs.
Dudley discovers that one little bird (or child) can make a big difference. Join in the fun as Dudley tries to save his flock of friends from pollution and waste. Students enjoy Fantasy Theatre’s ability to create wacky characters that mesh education, ecology, and humor into a fractured fairytale.

Little Red Riding Hood Study Guide
Little Red Riding Hood
Opera is a story told through music and singing. The Young Patronesses of the Opera will be performing Little Red Riding Hood, a children’s opera by Seymour Barab based on the fairy tale about a young girl and a big bad wolf. The opera is in one act and will include a question and answer session. There will be online learning guides with the story line, information abut the composer, games and learning tools for teachers to download and hand out to their students.
About Young Patronesses of the Opera
The Young Patronesses of the Opera (YPO), is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate, promote, foster, sponsor, educate and develop the understanding, taste and love of opera in our community.
Educating children has always been of paramount importance to the members of YPO. Without fostering an appreciation of or exposure to opera and classical music, by our future generations, it is doubtful that these arts will have the necessary support to survive.
Comprised of over 100 volunteer women, YPO offers programs focused primarily on children education. These programs are a need in today’s world where many school systems have taken away or decreased the arts programs in schools.
